MJ PRESENTS: Cleveland, Ohio “The Home of Rock and Roll”

I have visited the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and Museum twice. The things in there, the artifacts they have acquired are fascinating. They have Jim Morrison’s cub scout uniform in there as well as some grade school drawing he made for his mom. They really try to go in depth to acquire artifacts of the enshrinees. The problem I have is there are so many artists who should be in the HOF that aren’t and there are some people in there that leave me scratching my head

Here is a list of bands/musicians that are NOT in the HOF that definitely should be : Steve Miller, ZZ TOP, Tod Rundgren, Genesis, Moody Blues, The Guess Who, Steppenwolf, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Talking Heads, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, KISS, Alice Cooper, Foreigner, Journey, Cheap Trick….

This is just scratching the surface. There are a lot of others that should be in there that currently are not. There are a lot of musicians in the hall of fame that makes you wonder why or how they were voted in before some of the bands from the list.


Like how did R.E.M. get in over Steve Miller???
How did Madonna (who doesn’t and has NEVER sung a rock and roll song) get in over Genesis?

The criteria for induction into rock music’ shrine is quite simple. Any band or musician is eligible so long as they have been recording music for at east 25 years.

They also have inducted members of a music group and then inducting those members as solo artists as well.

For example: The Beatles are in there obviously but Lennon, McCartney & Harrison have also been inducted as solo performers.

With each year that passes new bands rise higher on a list for induction and the bands from the earlier list are still left behind making it more and more difficult for them to take their place in the hall.

Perhaps it is safe to assume that BON JOVI will be elected for induction over KISS. Or MOTLEY CRUE will get in before ALICE COOPER.

I think we should all write a letter and/or start a petition to get all the deserving forgotten stars, which always seem to be left behind, inducted BEFORE anyone else gets in.
